Steps to make Asante Bot work

Step 1. Invite team members to Asante Bot channel

You have added Asante Bot to your Slack channel and the next thing you need to do is invite your team members to the channel where Asante Bot is added.

You can do this by typing /invite inside the Asante Bot channel and picking the desired team members.

Once you add team members to Asante Bot channel Asante will track and count their Kudos points.

You can add Asante to multiple channels.

Step 2. Send your first kudos points

Ready to spread some love?

Simply mention your team member with @team-member + message + kudos point emoji.

Step 3. Send points to multiple members

Want to shout out the whole squad at once?

You can recognize multiple teammates in a single message — just mention them all and Asante Bot handles the rest. Perfect for team wins and project completions.

Step 4. Send private kudos points

Prefer to keep it between you and a teammate? Use private kudos to send recognition directly — no public channel needed. Great for personal appreciation that feels more meaningful and sincere.

Step 5. Give kudos points via reacion

Before you start, make sure Asante Bot is added to your Slack channel.

Once it’s there, any kudos emoji you send will automatically count as a Kudos Point inside the Asante Bot system.

Step 6. Add your birthday and work anniversary

When a celebration date is triggered, the Asante Bot bot for Slack automatically sends a motivating message to the team. This message encourages team members to recognize and celebrate their colleague’s special occasion by sending Kudos.

Here is how you can set your birthday date inside Asante Bot Slack dashboard.

These are Asante Bot basics that everyone inside your team should know.
